West Michigan Veterans Ranch began 01/2014, started by the Decanters, Dean and Rebecca. They had a vision and a plot of land, while searching for like-minded people they found themselves in a meeting with the second vice commander (Johnathan Tribley) and the service officer (Ian Harris) of the American Legion Post 2 out Grand Rapids. In this meeting, the four of them began drawing up plans for what is today the West Michigan Veterans Ranch. December 2016 the WMVR received their 501C3 as a federally recognized Non Profit. Since then they have been selflessly helping veterans, their families and widows of veterans in times of need and tirelessly looking for ways to better the veterans community as a whole by growing and networking.

Since then, WMVR has grown through every single interaction, whether it be through new volunteers joining their cause after an event, or being a new business relationship to aid in future endeavors with helping veterans and their families. The larger WMVR grows, the more reach and capabilities that we can offer to the veterans and families we aim to help.  With every project, every fundraiser, and every donation, we utilize every opportunity to make sure that we do all we can to make sure that no one is being left behind.
